LA RAÍZ DE LA MIRADA

-Ayer, a medianoche, estaba agotado y,

sin embargo, no podía dormir. Colores y manchas oscuras se descolgaban en cascada en la pantalla de la retina al cerrar los ojos. Desde algún punto del lóbulo frontal se precipitaban complicados mapas de líneas y formas que no lograba entender. Eran como lienzos que gritan su impaciencia porque alguien los mire. Al comentárselo al Mondéjar por la mañana me ha dicho que él estaba acostumbrado a eso y me ha sorprendido con una de sus frases de esas que parecen haberse descolgado de algún anuncio de coches:

"El ser no es nada

si no tiene seres alrededor."

Después de reflexionar

el contenido de aquellas palabras le he pedido que me aclarara un poco su sentido pues no estaba seguro de haberlas interpretado bien.

"Como tú tenías un apartamento en S'Arenal no tenías que pasar por la habitación de la Sra. Olga. Los soldados rasos como, al salir de paseo, íbamos a casa de la Sra. Olga y por una módica cantidad nos cambiábamos la ropa militar por otra de paisano. La operación se hacía en una habitación donde había decenas de perchas colgadas con ropa de otros tantos soldados. Era una habitación mal iluminada y mientras nos poníamos la ropa de calle la Sra. Olga nos observaba con su mirada ardiente. Ella decía que vigilaba que no tocáramos la ropa de otros, pero en realidad sentía gran placer en vernos en calzoncillos. Más de una vez me desnudé completamente ante ella y vi como sus ojos no se apartaban de mis genitales."

"Te parecerá raro,

pero ni en una sola ocasión se me pasó por la cabeza proponerle la mínima caricia. Era como si ella sintiera que yo no participaba del placer de ser observado por una mujer, desnudo y con una erección de esas que rompen la pana. Escribir es una forma de hacerse viejo, lo contrario de aquellas mujeres que al dedicarse a la literatura se rejuvenecen. Quizá escriba algún que otro relato cuando me empiecen a fallar las fuerzas. De momento aún no arrastro el culo llevo pañales porque orine por rebosamiento.

LA NOCHE Y SU HILO DE PLATA

Quisiera, mi amor,

que mi adiós fuera breve pues mis dedos, entumecidos de tanto amor apenas me obedecen para escribirte alguna de aquellas cartas de amor donde con palabras sencillas fluía el fuego de mi pecho. Y sólo quiero que sepas que mi último pensamiento es para ti.

A lo largo del hilo de plata del tiempo,

mi amor, mi sueño, mi razón de vivir, las noches se han convertido en lo que ahora se llama espacio en blanco, olvido, manos húmedas… y ya sin oxígeno en mis pies y rodillas empiezo a no entender lo mejor de todo: la admiración que me has profesado.

Y es que cada vez

abundan más los días distintos en que detrás de cada sombra había el destello de luz dorada de tu mirar.

Ninguna antigua amante

ha llamado a mi puerta, durante estos últimos años, para decirme que también me amó. Ninguna de ellas quiso tomar siquiera un té en alguno de mis siete castillos donde he habitado… y quizá mi corazón así lo querría,

pero hoy es un día de aquellos

que todo me da igual puesto que no puedo girar el sentido de la rueda y el huso de la noche para volver a todos aquellos paisajes donde me amaste antes de que se convirtieran en lo que son ahora: charcos como lagos de sangre seca y riachuelos bifurcados que allí acuden llenos de veneno que se denomina ostentosamente como quimio y radio.

La noche es la noche anudada

a su hilo de plata y es inexplicable y por encima de las casas sangran las horas del campanario.

Quisiera, mi amor,

que mi adiós fuera breve pues mis dedos, entumecidos de tanto amor apenas me obedecen para escribirte alguna de aquellas cartas de amor donde con palabras sencillas fluía el fuego de mi pecho. Alguien me dijo que sabía de todo menos olvidar… a mi pesar le doy la razón.

fundidos el estudiante, el soldado y el calderero en un minúsculo clúster de luz, la indecible noche empapada de frío sudor ya me ha hilvanado con su hilo de plata al silencio y mis pensamientos ya se abrazan a tu nombre y a los frutos de tu mar.

Si puede ser

no me des tu amor sino tu olvido. No querría tus palabras para irme al Ápex con ellas…

Diminutas las noches

caben todas en tu mano cerrada; déjalas resbalar, que caigan en el suelo con ruido de monedas…
